outdoor spaces.

My backyard is tiny, but it's a yard nonetheless. I'm hoping to make it into a nice space in the near future and have been searching for outdoor design inspiration without much luck (aside from a few favorites above found at Living Etc.). Any suggestions on where to look?

p.s. also love the back gardens Joanna posted yesterday.

thanks for the link love! :) i like the british shop Cox & Cox for garden stuff, and of course Terrain, and you could look at martha stewart's website, i think she features lots of gardens. you might look at flora grubb's website too; she is a rad florist in san francisco. xoxo

these are perfect. i'm searching for outdoor inspiration for a client and haven't checked out living etc. if you haven't already, you should check out sunset and kwid. there's also a book called small garden by john brooks that i refer to regularly. good luck!

backyards are so difficult to figure out! i looked everywhere for ideas but either it was too expensive to do or the ideas i liked weren't do-able in az. can't wait to see what you come up with!

No help on inspiration but the 1st photo is lovely! I'm using a similar table indoors and its nice to know when we wear it out it will look just as nice outdoors!

I like "Garden Design" magazine and Martha Stewart. Martha had a beautiful shade garden this month, and "Garden Design" has lots of urban gardens that are really lovely.
Good luck!

I would browse any old Domino's you can find and maybe Sunset magazine. There's the coolest small backyard that my SIL is going to try and replicate in one of the Domino's. I'll see if I can find the photo online and send your way!
